It's a-okay to want to look your best, don't overdo it!
We're all here to start a healthier lifestyle for ourselves and look great while we're doing it and that's perfectly fine, but when you get obsessed about the number on the scale, obsessed with calorie counts, and/or obsessed with the size of your clothes; that's when eating disorders begin to develop. You'd begin to hate yourself more and more than you did before, you'll begin fasting, you'd fall victim to a restrict/binge/purge/guilt cycle, and you just won't be happy or satisfied For some years now, I've been bulimic with some anorexic behaviours, and I most likely will remain this way since I hate asking for help. I'm not the healthiest person and that's why I created this site, so that I could get healthier than I ever was. When the time comes that I decide to recover then I will, but anyone with an eating disorder who has recovered or is recovering can tell you that it's a difficult process. It's important to live a happy and healthy life, and that's really impossible when you have an ED. Make sure that you are aware of what your body needs, and if you just happen to be hungry, then eat. Eating doesn't make you fat; junk food in large quantities will, but healthy food won't if eaten in moderation. That's the point here, moderation is the key! Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder, etc.; they all destroy your body one way or another, so it's best to get help when you're younger because it'll only get worse when you're older. If you need help but don't know what to, PLEASE go to a parent, guardian, or trusted adult. They can help you, sure they might get emotional about it but that's only because they love you and they'd hate you see you in so much pain. Getting help for an ED is not a sign of weakness, it's one of strength.
